And now for pictures of what we came here to do - Vida Joven!!! Dave hanging out at club with all the guys...quite a group of studs, huh?

Ivanna (17), Carol and Edu´s oldest daughter, shows us around Corrientes. We are in front of the capital building.

The youngest of Carol´s extend family cheer on the volleyball game going on in the background. From left to right, Ian (pretending to be Bible Man..ha!), Bernie, and Nicole.

Often on Sunday afternoons, Carol´s extended family (of almost 60 people) invites us over to their country homestead for the weekly family asado, dip in the pool, and competitive volleyball game. The above picture is of the Quinto, which almost every Argentine house has in one form or another. It is an open-air room/porch/garage with a built in brick grill in the back and a table in the middle. Every week, Argentines gather the family together to dine and relax in these buildings. What a great culture!

Jen preparing Vida Joven volantes (maps) in our living room/dinning room. The Young Life manuel that Dave put together for our leader training program is handy by her side. That about concludes the tour of our little apartment!

Jen happily putting away food in our new refidgerator. The blue door in the back opens up onto our patio.

What does their apartment look like, you ask? Well, here is the door into our humble abode, right underneath the neon sign for the national beer, Quilmes. You can get a whole liter of this beer for $0.50. Not bad, except that it is absolutely disgusting as far as beers go!

Kidding, here is Jennifer with "las mujeres de Vida Joven" (l to r) Jennifer, Carol, Elisa, Sonia, and Mari-eu ( with Santiago). What a fun group of women!

Jennifer has also made friends, but they are a little bit youger than Dave´s friends. Here, Jennifer plays with Carol and Edu´s youngest daughter, Nicole.

While in Corrientes, we have also made quite a number of friends. Here, Dave learns how to cook "asado style" from (l to r) Daniel, Edu (con pelo), Dave, and Edu (sin pelo).

Carol and Edu Pi, the Argentine directors of Vida Joven, have been our gracious hosts since we arrived. They are a fun, hysterical couple who have done so much to reach kids for Christ in Argentina. We have loved hanging out with them and helping them grow Vida Joven. What a couple.

Instead, we opted to move into the lively and loving Argentina to help Vida Joven, the Argentine form of Young life, get its feet on the groud in the small town of Corrientes. We have been here since January and have already fallen in love with the culture of this country.

And, we made it to Auckland...only to discover that we could end our travels here and live happily for the rest of our lives! This city is definitely one of the best in the world...just look how beautiful it is!

Dave points out one of the adventures we had while renting our "My Pod" campervan. We kayaked down the 22 vertical foot waterfall in the background of this picture! Call us crazy, (and many have), but we did it, enjoyed it, and lived to tell about it! (And don´t worry, the backstreet boy hair-do in this pic didn´t cause Dave a problem while kayaking)

Honk, Honk...its a home on wheels! On our way to Argentina, we rented a campervan and drove from Christchurch, where we saw The Kings off, up the South Island of NZ, across to the North Island, and into the great city of Auckland.
